Acer to Release its 2nd Android Smartphone in Q1 2010

Acer is planning to release 5 new models of Android-smartphones this year.

Head of Division of IT-products from Acer Jim Wong reported that in the first quarter of this year the company will release a second Android-smartphone, while five new Android-phones are scheduled to be produced only for this year. As you know, the first smartphone based on Android, Acer A1 Liquid proved to be quite successful.

Taiwanese company Foxconn, a subsidiary company Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. will be the manufacturer of Acer A1 Liquid. There are no details about the new gadget yet. According to the words of Jim Wong the new smartphone will be smaller than the A1 Liquid.

The smartphone A1 Liquid will be produced by Compal Communications.
